Success By Design Learning Center provides information and resources to help your child live up to his or her full potential. Below are some FAQs to get you started.

Q: What do I do if I suspect my child has or was recently diagnosed with (ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Asperger’s, Autism, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, ODD, etc.)?

A: First check with the teacher and proceed through the school evaluation process, if available. If your school does not offer an evaluation process or you would prefer an alternative evaluation, there are several qualified psychologists in the area that offer evaluations outside of the school setting. (If you are looking for a referral, ask the school, your friends, or Success By Design) We also offer standardized testing for students to assess grade level in multiple subject areas. If your child has recently been diagnosed with (ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Asperger’s, Autism, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, ODD, etc.), share the information with the child’s teacher and discuss the accommodations that will be in place at school to help your child succeed. Communicate with the teacher if there are any concerns that you might have. If you need additional guidance, please contact us for more information.

Q: What do I do if my child is gifted and they are not being challenged?

A: Communicate your concerns with the teacher. Share any concerns or ideas that benefit your child individually. Listen to the objectives and instructional plans the teacher has in place for the class. If you find that the child is still not being challenged, please contact us for enrichment options or alternative educational programs provided in the area.

Q: How do I choose the right private education program?

A: Private education is a personal choice. It is an alternative to the traditional public or private schools. First, schedule an appointment with each private education provider. When searching for the right private education program, make sure their goals for your child align with your goals. Private education programs should be personalized to the academic needs and goals of the child and the family. Contact us for private education options and state compliance information. We are always available to share our 20+ years of knowledge and expertise to help guide you through this decision-making process.
